rickie lee jones

many moon ago i went to rickie lee jones concert (mosaic music festival). gosh is she good or what??!! de moment she struck de piano key and started to sing, tears began to roll down. i did not know what song she was singing!! that child-like voice jus brought chills to my spine.

and of course, de dickheads beside me jus had to talk during de concert. and during de part where rickie was singing w de piano. i had to ask them to shut up (even the people at de top level were pissed) - fuck face dun work well in darkness.

what amazed me about rickie is de simplicity of her music. de lyrics are straightforward, easy to understand. about love. childhood. and at times political. you may think she is screaming, crying while she sings. and she will definitely not make it for american idol. but her voice communicates what she wanna say. what she wanna you to feel.

she is what i call a powerful singer!!
